His no-nonsense ways clash with the girls' fun-filled lifestyle at first: he makes them wear seatbelts, confiscates their cell phones, beats up on any guy who comes near them (including an awestruck pizza delivery boy) and makes sure no one sneaks out of the house on dates. Eventually he discovers the girls aren't as ditzy as they first appear. They get him to loosen up a little, and even help him to patch things up with his neglected daughter (Shannon Marie Woodward).
