Description: This listing complies with eBay's air gun guidelines found here and I will only sell and ship air guns to buyers in jurisdictions where permitted by applicable laws - http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html THIS HAMMER PRODUCES MAXIMUM POWER AND ELIMINATES ROUGH COCKING WHICH IS MOST OFTEN CAUSED BY A LOOSE COCKING PIN MEDIUM-STRENGTH THREADLOCKER IS NECESSARY TO KEEP THE THREADED PINS FROM LOOSENING. IF THE COCKING PIN COMES LOOSE IT CAN BIND AGAINST THE TUBE OR BREAK-OFF. THE THREADS OF THE HAMMER AND PINS SHOULD BE CLEAN AND DRY BEFORE APPLYING THE THREADLOCKER THE STRIKER PIN CAN BE ADJUSTED UP TO 3/32" FROM THE FACE OF THE HAMMER. MORE THAN THAT CAN CAUSE THE PIN TO HIT THE VALVE DAMAGING THE BODY AROUND THE VALVE STEM, THIS CAN CAUSE THE STEM TO BECOME STUCK INSIDE THE VALVE. ELONGATING THE HAMMER-PIN SLOT OF THE TUBE TOWARDS THE VALVE IS NOT RECOMMENDED WITH THIS HAMMER FOR THE SAME REASON This is the most advanced hammer design available for 13XX. It's notched, fluted, has an adjustable striker pin, thread-in cocking pin and it's made of very hard and durable 420 stainless steel. It weighs 37 grams which is slightly lighter than a standard factory hammer at 39 grams. It moves a little quicker and the adjustable striker pin pushes the valve-stem in further, a combination that produces a gain in velocity. The thread-in cocking pin eliminates rough cocking and binding that's typically caused by a loose hammer pin, that's a common problem with the factory hammers and pins. It works perfectly with standard pistol trigger groups and the simulated two-stage group from the PCP pistol models (Marauder Pistol, 1720T and 1701P) widely sold as an upgrade for 13XX and 22XX. The notch at the front/top of the hammer allows use of Discovery/Maximus and Crosman Custom Shop steel breeches which have the mounting screw underneath the bolt where it doesn't interfere with the pellet sliding forward. To use one of those breeches you need to drill and tap a 4-48 screw hole exactly 7/16" center to center behind the original breech screw hole. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH OLDER 1377/1322 MODELS THAT HAVE A PULL-KNOB COCKING MECHANISM AND SLIDING BREECH COVER
