Description: Hand carved Burnt Chess Set 3.75" King w/ Queen's Gambit Board Beautiful chess set, pieces are nicely hand-carved, burnt boxwood, lacquered finish. Complete set, 32 pieces plus 2 extra queens. Pieces are in excellent shape, no chips or cracks. Made of boxwood. King height 3.75 inches, the pieces are weighted and felted, all weights and felts present in great shape. The wooden board is in good shape, with some wear in the finish on the side of the board. However, this wear is not very noticeable when you set up the board for display or playing. The playing side is in excellent shape, no chips, no scratches or cracks. Very nice smooth matte finish.
