Description: LUM and ABNER Movie Collection Like serveral of their classic radio contemporaries, Chester Lauck and Norris Goff had the opportunity to take their famous alter-egos to the movies. Excellent Quality with the exception of the TV Pilot which is an early kinescope. This collection includes the following full-length titles: Dreaming Out Loud: Two backwoods hillbillies become amateur detectives in their quest for a killer. (1940) The Bashful Bachelor: Abner agrees to become an "accident victim" so that Lum can pretend to save him and become the town hero. (1942) So This is Washington: Two folksie hillbillies think they've discovered a formula for synthetic rubber. (1943) Two Weeks to Live: Abner is incorrectly diagnosed with a fatal illness and takes on a series of comically dangerous stunts in order to cover his debts.
