Description: LULU - "THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD" POLYDOR 1974 GERMAN PRESS 7" SINGLE ARTIST - LULU TRACKS - "THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD" b/w "WATCH THAT MAN" FORMAT - vinyl 7" single OTHER DETAILS - • Polydor Records 2001 490, 1974 German pressing • Red plastic injection moulded labels, large centre • Polydor company sleeve (new period repro) Although you obviously can't beat the Bowie original versions, Lulu makes a good fist of these two classics ("Watch That Man" from the "Aladdin Sane" album). This is basically Lulu with backing from Bowie and the Spiders From Mars, the only difference being Aynsley Dunbar on drums rather than Woody Woodmansey. Produced and arranged by Bowie and Mick Ronson, it also features Mike Garson and Trevor Bolder with Bowie on sax and vocals and Mick Ronson on guitar. The record is visually about VG with a few light (ie non feelable) surface marks/scuffs and some very light hairline surface marks dotted about. Tiny mark on run-in grooves on Side B is feelable, will likely cause a coupe of ticks before the music starts. Please note that all vinyl is visually graded under a bright halogen bulb - it is only play-graded if specifically stated. VINYL GRADING NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned. MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint). NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc. TERMS & CONDITIONS *Important* - the ONLY countries I will send to by uninsured mail are as follows: - UK. Europe (EU countries ONLY and Norway). USA and Canada. Australia, New Zealand and Japan. If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number!
