Description: LUIS DE PABLO PORTRAIT IMAGINE LP RCA Red Seal Very rare spanish electronic avant-garde from the mastermind Luis de Pablo, making use of magnetic tapes, electroacoustic transformations, synthesizers and conventional instruments performed by Grupo Koan and others. Some info on the release: Rare original issue, released in Spain on the great RCA Red Seal label. Features the great "Portrait Imagine" by Luis de Pablo, a work conceived and executed during the stay of Luis de Pablo in Canada (1974/75) and in close collaboration with the electronic group of Nil Parent and the percussion group of Guy Lachapelle. Luis de Pablo is very well known for his electronic & electroacoustic works ("We Nosotros", "Visto de Cerca", "Soledad Interumpida", "Comme d'Habitude" and others). Close to his copratiots Andres Lewin Richter, Horacio Vaggione, Eduardo Polonio and Tomas Marco, Gabriel Brncic and Gonzalo de Olavide. His musical education included teachings by Maurice Ohana and Darmstadt summer courses with Bruno Maderna and Pierre Boulez. His turn to aleatoric music marked him in most of his work. He has released records on labels like Wergo, Claves, Polydor, Rca and others. Luis de Pablo belongs to the great avant-garde/experimental composers "wave" that appeared in Europe in the 60's/70's/80's with main representators composers like Hans Werner Henze, Pierre Boulez, György Kurtág, Wolfgang Rihm, Helmut Lachenmann and Salvatore Sciarrino, Heinz Holliger, Brian Ferneyhough, and Nicolaus A. Huber, Karlheinz Stockhausen and György Ligeti, Henri Pousseur or more widely Bernd Alois Zimmermann, John Cage, Toru Takemitsu, Bruno Maderna, Jani Christou, Iannis Xenakis and of course Pendercki.
