The LTD Alexi Ripped is offered in an offset V shape with neck-through-body construction and a 25.5" scale length. It features a 3-piece thin U-shaped maple neck with a natural satin finish for smooth and fast playability, alder body wings and a Macassar ebony fingerboard (scalloped from fret 19-24) with 24 extra jumbo frets, sawtooth inlays and glow -in-the-dark page markers. The Alexi Ripped model is the first guitar in the Alexi Laiho Signature Series with more than one pickup. It includes a passive EMG HZ F-H2 humbucker in the bridge position that provides high gain presence and clarity with a punchy response, and a passive EMG HZ S2 stacked single coil in the neck that provides just the right mix of mids and a offers a clear and full bass range. Components on this outstanding guitar include Grover tuners, a double-locking Floyd Rose 1000 bridge, and chrome-plated hardware, including a volume knob and a recessed three-way pickup selector.
