SUPERB BISCUIT SWEET TIN 30s WINDUP FIRE ENGINE CAR andreis ANTIQUE TINPLATE TOY

Description: i'll be parting with a number of my fire brigade related vehicles, and early tins etc... over coming weeks; please see my other listings for similar tin toys etc..... thanks. OFFERED HERE IS MY: A Lovely early biscuit / sweet tin; after enjoying the carton of goods inside, it could be used as a charming tin toy car / vehicle. Made in France, c.1930 tin was produced by G. De Andreis (these lovely vehicles are often misleadingly described, as by Charles Rossignol) clockwork / wind up motor, with its original fixed head key winder Here shown as a fire engine / fire brigade firemen transport lorry / truck / van. These delightful food tins were offered in differing levels of fitment; from the most basic "push along" models, up to the example offered here... the top luxury version, with a clockwork mechanism, front bumper and full length running boards and wheel arches. this really is a lovely example of the top luxury version, and at a great price:(see a more basic version, in lesser condition at £600+, with just the optional wind-up mechanism.... at ebay # 334232064550...... and the most basic push along model at # 355920681880 ) measures about 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches length Hinged top lid and nice working wind-up motor; the old fire truck rolls along nicely. All original, retaining a lovely bright tin litho, with attractive bright colour. Printed tin litho detailing, with all the crew members seated inside the vehicle Extremely nice example of this delightful tin vehicle After some 90 odd years, it displays with minimal natural ageing, surface litho blemishes, chips, scuffs, scratch etc... nicely rust free not the usual tired looking piece IT LOOKS GREAT AND STILL WORKS FINE (please see all the images for the actual condition of my GREAT LOOKING FIRE BRIGADE VEHICLE / BISCUIT / SWEET TIN TOY ) REAL PERIOD VINTAGE TIN TOY ...
