Description: Offered is this nice 17" antique German Kestner shoulder head doll. Her wig is very firmly glued down and I cannot see any numerical markings on the top of her head, however she looks like a 154 or 148 to me. Original blown glass blue eyes appear to be set or are stuck? I can't get into the head to check. Beautiful facial coloring, open mouth with four square cut upper teeth, multi-stroke eyebrows and her original, albeit sparse, blonde mohair wig. Her leather and cloth body is without leakage and is structurally sound. One thumb is chipped off. Her original pate is underneath the wig. I have checked her head carefully for damage with a black light and high intensity flashlight and cannot see any issues. She is wearing antique pantaloons, antique coat and wonderful antique leather shoes. Shoes have '6' incised on the bottom soles. I love her antique red and black polka dot coat. Vintage red dress she came in. Lovely doll for the beginning collector or someone who just loves Kestner dolls.
