Description: Louise Mary Wahl Kamp Self? Portrait Oil Painting Signed Framed Artist at Work Plein Air Louise Kamp (1867-1959) was an American Impressionist painter. She was prolific, and even painted on the backs of cereal and men's shirt boxes. She studied at the Art Students League (in Buffalo, NY, per one source). She exhibited widely including in 1927 and 1937 at the Society of Independent Artists Exhibition at Grand Central Palace in New York City, along with Milton Avery and Robert Henri. She spent some of her life in Woodstock, New York. She is listed in at least Davenports Art Reference and Price Guide, 1999/2000.artist at work outside, possibly Louise Kamp, but I am not surewoman in a pink dress, wearing a scarfsigned at lower left- Kamppainting (what you can see) is about 10 inches by 8 incheswooden frame with gold finish is about 14 inches by 12 incheson back is written- Self Portrait, Louise M. Kamp, but I am not sure this is correct
