The magazines were published monthly and cover topics related to the history of railroads and trains. From the collection of Norm Metcalf. Norm was an avid train and railway enthusiast with a vast collection of train related magazines and memorabilia. He was also a collector of science-fiction novels and pulps and penned The Index of Science Fiction Magazines 1951-1965 which indexed the contents of seventy-two English-language science fiction and fantasy magazines alphabetically by author and by title and included a separate list of indexed magazines, and a list of editors. He was also the anonymous editor of The Science-Fictional Sherlock Holmes, published by fellow fan Robert C Peterson.
