Description: Lot of 8 M. A. Hadley Ornaments or Wall Hangings from the Barnyard Animals collection. Handmade and hand painted pottery made in Louisville, KY since 1939. Included are:FarmerChickenFishHorseSheepCowSpotted PigBunnyAll are signed on the back; 7 have painted signatures and 1 (fish) has an etched signature. As we know, M.A. Hadley pottery has a background of pale gray; my photos are as usual not quite accurate. The Farmer is approximately 6" tall and the others range from approximately 3.5" x 3" (Fish) to 4.5" x 4" (Horse). These can be used as ornaments on your Christmas tree or hang them on a large plant in your home, or as wall hangings. The Farmer shows a bit of use on the back at the top, which makes me think he was a wall hanging. The sheep has two magnets glued on its back (they definitely work as magnets). The others don't have any obvious signs of use. There is a 1/4" crack on the back of the cow (see next to last photo) but it does not go all the way through and I think occurred during production. We did it - we downsized! I still have a few items in a variety of categories left from the move so please check my listings for more "treasures" from our home that sadly we no longer have room to keep. ******************** Authenticity is guaranteed and this item comes from a pet and smoke free home.
