Lot Of 24 Star Trek The Next Generation VHS Tapes TNG Collector’s Edition

Description: Make it so! This auction is for a lot of 24 VHS tapes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG). This was a special collector’s edition released in 1996. Each tape contains 2 episodes, including the 2-parters Encounter at Farpoint, Chain of Command and All Good Things. I have confirmed the correct tape is in each case. None of the tape cartridges appeared damaged or cracked. The moving parts are not damaged, and the film is intact. The cases are, for the most part, in good condition. The following note on their condition is going to sound worse than it actually is. It doesn’t prevent the cases from opening or closing, or prevent them from being stacked side by side on your shelf. I’m sharing it because potential buyers deserve to know: They used an adhesive material to bind the plastic casing to the cardboard shell. This glue that hasn’t aged very well. It appears the plastic casings within the shells have slowly slipped under their own weight about a 1/4 inch or so on several of the tapes. It’s little more pronounced on some and barely noticeable on others. It’s not a huge issue but you have the right to know before you make a bid. The boxes still open and close, although the locking mechanism on several has become detached from the poor quality glue they used. The strip of plastic that locks the plastic casing is missing on a few tapes and out of alignment on others. For the ones where it’s out of alignment, it could easily be remedied with super glue. Even without this tiny piece, it doesn’t hurt the exterior shell or prevent you from enjoying the video.
