Description: "Lorenzo de' Medici" is an original oil painting of the man who came to power in Florence, Italy in 1469, at the age of 20. He was a patron of the arts during the Rennaissance, and rubbed elbows with Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the like. Lorenzo's dad was known as "Piero the Gouty". Lorenzo died April 8, 1492, due to complications from gout. "Lorenzo de' Medici" is William Verdult's (1939-2016) brilliant perspective of the sculpture by Michelangelo...which adorns Lorenzo's tomb. Lo is forever captured in a reflective mood in both works of art. Or maybe his nose just itches.... The piece ships on a 48 x 24 stretcher frame.
