Lona did, however, take a sabbatical from this profession in 2000, when she moved to Paris, France to concentrate on her endeavors as a painter. During that year she traveled, drew, painted, and generally refined her artist style. Lona's artwork, before and since that remarkable sabbatical, has been appreciate around the world. She has shown her art across the country, from New York City to Hawaii.
