Description: This great piece is called a "loco" or a "Martian" - it is a an imaginative, colorful piece. The painting is in many colors with highly detailed designs, dotwork, flowers and leaves. This very jazzy loco is approximately 6 1/4" tall, 4 1/2" wide and 6" long. All pieces are removable. Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination". They are hand-carved and hand-painted of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. This alebrije is great and would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
