Leh,” is about prominent South Bethlehem architect Albert Wolfring Leh (1880 – 1918), who designed more than 250 buildings across the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and Philadelphia regions during the Industrial Era. From 1880-1918, Leh designed some of the most significant academic, commercial, ecclesiastical and residential structures in Bethlehem and elsewhere in the region and neighboring states. He designed buildings as diverse as Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church in South Bethlehem, Moravian College and Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, and the E.P. Wilbur Mansion. This book includes a biography of Leh, a detailed overview of his career and a wonderful collection of photos, including original architectural drawings from Leh’s own studio, as well as historical and contemporary black and white photography by John Kish IV and Robert Walsh. Albert Wolfring Leh. "A. W. Leh created a good part of the architectural backdrop against which the everyday dramas of people's lives here in Bethlehem were played out," says Raniere of Coopersburg.
