There is a very thin line between art and disaster when it come to working with this fine wood. I was luck enough to come across this selection of lumber. This has got to be my favorite work of art as of late. I love how the spalted lines look like fire. It really looks as if someone drew these beautiful black lines on the handle and throughout this piece. Very please with outcome once the oil soaked in. Also, it is reversible. You can chose which side looks the best for presentation for your guest. They were finished with a mixture of olive oil, beeswax and a hint of lemon oil extract.
