The effect of the bright white hackberry mingled with the age-colored wood and outlined by the black spalting in this piece is what catches your attention when viewing it. Live edge board measures 60” long by 18 3/4” at widest by 2” thick. Properly air dried for several years, planed both sides. 11% moisture content. Photos are with mineral spirits brushed on to highlight wood features and after evaporates to show unfinished. Front and back. Spalted and character wood often has associated splits, checks, knots, worm holes and sometimes will require stabilizing. Best professional milling skills were used to get these boards.
