This species, Plectrocarpa sarmientoi (formerly Bulnesia sarmientoi) has a Janka hardness of around 3700 and is dense as well as oily. Colors under the patina may vary. The blank is rough cut, not curly/ figured as it may appear. PLEASE NOTE that this is a wax sealed blank sold with no guarantee of moisture content.
