Description: Lot of 4 vintage magazines: 3 issues of LIFE MAGAZINE and one of NEWSWEEK, all from 1965 and all focusing on Black Americans and Civil Rights, specifically the civil rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, that were initiated by the murder of Jimmie Lee Jackson, obstruction of Black votes and the failed voter registration campaign, and upheavals after the death of MALCOLM X. Includes three issues of LIFE – March 5, March 19 and March 26, plus the April 5th issue of Newsweek. Condition is VG+ with minor shelfwear, tight staples, address labels; the issue of March 5th has the heaviest wear with a tear to back cover.
