Description: Description Leonard Bernstein VPO Beethoven 9 Symphonies 5 SACD Hybrid TOWER RECORDS JAPANProduct introduction The complete collection from the end of the 70's, which was tied up with the Vienna Philharmonic, was released at a special price for 4 sheets! It contains 4 overtures recorded in analog recording. Beethoven's 250th anniversary release. The complete collection, which won the Record Academy Award in 1980, will be re-released as a reprint in the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. It was exactly Beethoven's works that Bernstein moved to Europe and started recording on the Vienna Philharmonic and the DG label in earnest. In April 1977, one step ahead, after recording "Tenjo Prologue" from the boyfriend Mephistophere, the first DG work with the Vienna Philharmonic, in September of the same year, "Fate" was recorded live. At that time, Bernstein was 59 years old. After this, a series of recordings including all "Fidelio" songs will be made to establish a worldwide reputation in recording history. Since having co-starred with the "Falstaff" in 1966 at the Vienna State Opera, Bernstein has maintained a good relationship with the Vienna Philharmonic and the audience in Vienna. In particular, there were topics such as the enthusiastic reaction to the 1968 Knight of the Rose (replayed and recorded in 1971), the Mahler performance that was partially left in the video, and Mahler No. 8 at the Salzburg Festival. Now, it's time to start recording intensively on the DG label, which is the largest stronghold in the future (however, in private, I lost my wife Fesilia in June 1978, and the concert and recording after that are temporarily stopped). This complete collection is the work of Bernstein's strong spirituality and rich musicality that was revealed through the greatest work of the time, the Vienna Philharmonic, by playing Beethoven's great works. With the high sound quality board of, you will still feel the freshness as if the feelings of that time were revived. In this work, we recorded the complete Beethoven: Symphony complete works and 4 overtures recorded from 1977 to 1979 as a set of 5 for the first time (The 1981 recorded ``Egmont'' overture and ``Coriolan'' overture are digital. This is a recording, so it is not included in this work). For the sound source, we adopted the master created by Emile Berliner Studio which was high resolution when the commercially available SACD single layer board was released in 2015 (symphony) and 2018 (overture) (Remastered sound source by Polyhymnia in 2017 (Already released in Import CD and Blu-ray Audio BOX). This master is recorded with a good balance of the rich indirect sound of Musik Felinezal, which is the main recording location, and the natural sound of an instrument, and although there is a difference between DSD and PCM, there is a smooth sound connection and presence. Since it is, we determined that it matches the direction of SACD.Work informationConductor: Leonard BernsteinOrchestra: Vienna Philharmonic OrchestraMusic: Ludwig van BeethovenContentsNumber of components | 5Total recording time | 06:42:58Track ListingLudwig van Beethoven: Complete Symphonies/Overtures
