I couldn't see any issues on the smaller plates. The dinner plates in particular are where the imperfections may show up under scrutiny and they could be things like a scuff mark, a dimple, an imperfection in part of the gold trim. Regarding signs of use, there are few if any utensil marks. They were lightly used and from a smoke free home. A total of 12 place settings are available, sold in groups of 4 place settings.
