The lenses were recently professionally checked/serviced, and the full set was several months in the making (i.e. acquiring 4-5 of each focal length, and selecting the very best). This set covers most sensor sizes like a champ, including Super-35 and Full-frame, and is very reasonably priced. Leica R lenses are known for their cinematic/filmic rendering qualities – great for taking the edge off today's high-resolution sensors with amazing imagery captured straight from camera. This set is comprised of highly sought after late '80s vintage Leica R Lenses from 24mm to 135mm and includes the high quality 60/2.8 macro lens. All serial #s are from the mid-to-late '80s – for matched vintage color/rendering style (no small feat as Leica Rs were produced over a 40+ year time-span with frequent color / version updates). Every lens was also cherry-picked, usually out of several copies, for great glass and cine-like focus movement and then cine-serviced as necessary too. De-Click / DampenAperture de-clicking is a vital part of the Cine-Mod. A true cinema lens features a step-less aperture that allows fine adjustment without "clicking" between f-stops. Duclos Lenses modifies the aperture movement by removing the "click" mechanism and damping the movement to create a consistent, creamy rotation.
