DescriptionThe Legends Wise Axe: perfect for the high note player who wants to put more air through the horn while still maintaining a focused sound. This model is a modified version of the Legends Wise. It has the same rounded .560" inside diameter rim with nice undercut and shallow drop V cup (similar to Bach F in depth). The throat has been opened up to a #26. The backbore is a Legends O, which is open, but not wide open. This allows the player to increase volume without losing focus. So go ahead, Hot Shot, play higher and louder! It might sound a little cocky, but when you've played with The Boss, like Alan Wise has, you've earned the right! WISE AXE Specs:Outside Rim Diameter: 1.05" (26.67 mm) Outside Rim Contour: Round Inside Rim Diameter: 0.560" (14.22 mm) Inside Rim Contour: Round Cup Depth: Drop V with depth similar to Bach F (very shallow)This mouthpiece is available in four blanks: vintage, lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The Vintage blank is inspired by classic Jet-Tone mouthpieces played by famous trumpet players of a bygone era. It has a beautiful art deco look. There isn't a lot of excess mass with this blank, which makes it versatile enough for general playing but with plenty of zing for those solo and lead parts! The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
