Description: This late 1800s early 1900s christening gown was found in a family trunk. It is cotton with lace trim on gown and slip. As it has been stored for decades there is soiling, brown/rust spots and a small hole. It buttons nicely in the back; buttons are covered by a lace placket. The slip is pleated at the bottom and is edged in lace. The top is fastened by buttons at the back and there is a drawstring at the neck of the slip It measures shoulder to shoulder 6.5 inches, 8 inches armpit to armpit, is 35 inches from nape of the neck to hem and has a sweep of 28 inches. It has not been cleaned and is sold as-is. I do my best to point out all condition issues and provide a detailed description and photographs. Please see photos for condition and ask if you have questions.
