(hole in lid is for you to put things through) Measures: its 5" wide and 1-5/8" wide opening on lid. by 3-1/4" tall with lid.It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1917 approximately). Guaranteed to be genuine ABP cut glass- I do not sell other types of glass as ABP like other sellers do This is a "Harvard" cane pattern. It is a nicer version of it so it is probably from one of the better companies. Pairpoint called it "2 cut octagon" and Bergen called it "India" pattern for 2 examples.Condition: This is over 100 years old but in great condition for the age. There are no visible issues, unsightly rim chips or bad damage.
