Description: This auction is for a colorful and large mid-century modern Vallauris pottery, vividly colored, lamp. The exterior is decorated with enameled shells and a crab highlighted with gilt, and "sand" looking granuals. Inside the open body of the fish is a dramatic seascape with fish, coral and sea plants, all painted in teal, aqua, pink and highlighted in gilt. One of the coral branches in the front of the interior has a small piece broken off upon close examination. The fish is 9 1/2" in height, 12 1/4" from end to end and about 6" from front to back. The cord would have to be changed since it is a european plug in, but this exceptional lamp is well worth it. Such an unusual and dramatic lamp!
