The feather is not flat, but carved with curves and engraved to give a nice representation of a realistic feather. There is a pre-drilled hole at the very top of the feather stem (side to side) for stringing onto a necklace or whatever project you might have in mind. (we have marked approx where the hole is on these with two white lines in the photo) Nicely polished & beautifully detailed on both sides.
