Description: Up for sale is a copy of "LANGLEY MEMOIR ON MECHANICAL FLIGHT" Part I - 1887 to 1896 by Samuel Pierpont Langley, Edited by Charles M. Manly - Part II - 1897 to 1903 by Charles M. Manly. Published in 1911 by The Smithsonian Institution. Ernest Pulsford is one of the artists. He has initialed his drawings (see example photo #9 above of Plate 40) and signed and inscribed on the front end page. Overall the book is in Good+ Condition. The green cloth boards have wear, discoloration and stains. The edges are scuffed and fraying. The corners are dented and fraying. The front board is loose. The spine has runs down the cloth and is torn and fraying at the edges. Internally, it is firmly bound with 320 pages. The pages have some wear and browning. Some of the pages have small tears.
