Description: Lamberton Scammell Ivory - Lafayette College - Brainerd Hall (Hogg Hall) - Dinner Plate, made in the U.S.A. Lafayette College is in Easton, PA. Brainerd Hall (Hogg Hall) is located on the east end of Quad. It was built in 1902 by architect Charles Webber Bolton, class of 1880 in Philadelphia. Hogg Hall was presented by James Renwick Hogg, class of 1878, as a home for Brainerd Society. It was designed as a religious center for the college, but also as a social center, with bowling alleys, billard tables and reading rooms. Originally called Brainerd Hall, the name was changed in 1944 to honor its donor. The plate is ivory with a center design of Brainerd Hall (Hogg Hall) at Lafayette College. The rim of the plate has the crest of Lafayette College, fleur-de-lis, laurel swags and gold trim. The plate is 10.5" in diameter and .9" deep. The plate is in good condition with no chips or cracks, with slight wear and dark specks. The gold trim has slight wear, tarnishing and mottling. I have 15 other plates of scenes from Lafayette College and I'm happy to combine items to save money on postage. Dishes #31
