There are some very fine hairline scratches on the top of the lid, but they are so fine that they do not show up in the photos. They definitely will not affect the performance of this carafe and lid set. Most sellers would probably not disclose this information, but I prefer to overdisclose so there are no surprises. You will find no broken tabs on the lid either. There will be NO disappointments with this carafe and lid set! Krups stopped manufacturing this carafe a while back, but here is your chance to grab one at a great deal.
