Description: Item pictured is shown wet outdoors, without camera flash. Stone also has an uneven corner edge from the saw, please see photos. Measurements are as shown in photos, taken from widest point. You will receive the item shown in the pictures. If more photos are needed, please ask! This listing is for a very colorful rough slab of Kona Dolomite aka Moose Blood Dolomite (due to the darker red spots) found in the Upper Peninsula area of Michigan. It is a stromatolite that is nearly 2.1 - 2.8 billion years old. It's a beautiful stone with pink dolomite and darker red Moose Blood Dolomite spots, as well as black and grey banding. Dolomite is a great beginner material and will make some really pretty finished cabs. This material is best for lapidary purposes as it has very few "moose blood" spots. If you are a collector looking for a specimen for a "Moose Blood" dolomite for display, I would pass on this listing. Dimensions are approximately 6"x 2" (see photos) and 4.71mm thick. Please note this is in an unpolished piece. Weighs 78.4 grams. Items will ship within 1-2 business days. Please ask if you have any questions or need better photos. Thank you! *Please note - While we don't accept returns on items sold, we do want you to be happy with your purchase. Please contact us if you have any issues with your order and we will do everything we can to make it right.
