Knaggs Guitars was founded in 2009 by Joe Knaggs, a founding member of Paul Reed Smith Guitars and former head of the private stock team, and Peter Wolf, marketing director of Paul Reed Smith Guitars. The following year, in 2010, they participated in Musikmesse 2010 held in Frankfurt and appeared on the cover of the American guitar magazine PREMIER Guitar, which became a big topic of conversation.In addition to the carefully selected wood stock and the woodworking techniques of the craftsmen, the original bridge unit designed by Joe Knaggs himself, and the set neck joint used in all models due to their commitment to string vibration, combine to create a unique guitar that condenses the charm of all electric guitars. We would like to introduce the Chesapeake series, named after a tributary that flows into the Chesapeake Bay. The string length is 25.5 inches and it is equipped with a Chesapeake bridge. This is a traditional Severn born from Joe Knaggs' love for vintage guitars. The Severn has a novel design with a superbly grained curly maple top and a thin layer of backing. This is a solid model based on the Fender style that represents Knaggs Guitars. This time, we have a very rare semi-hollow model, which features a warmer sound than solid models.The neck has a nut width of 1-5/8 (approx. 41.3 mm) and a 25-1/2 inch scale, which is a traditional specification for electric guitars, but the range is secured up to 22 frets. The unique slim neck shape named 61 is based on Joe Knaggs' love for vintage guitars, and the grip is shaped based on the Fender neck of that year, so it feels comfortable in your hand even though it is a guitar born in the modern era.The frets are Tall-Thin, and the fingerboard radius is a smooth 8-1/2 inch (approx. 216 mm). It can be said that this equipment is at the heart of vintage guitars and modern electric guitars.The neck grip has a unique shape. Joe Knaggs' love for vintage guitars led him to refer to the necks of guitars from the 1950s, and the grip is shaped between round and triangle, while keeping the thickness slightly reduced. The bridge is equipped with a Chesapeake bridge designed by Joe himself, and the saddles for each string are embedded in the iron base plate, preventing left-right shaking and minimizing tuning errors. In addition, the front and center pickups are made by Lindy Fralin, and the rear pickups are equipped with Bare Knuckle Aftermoth, which is popular among djent musicians, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of sound variations.
