Description: A factory second enclosure purchased from Bill Finnegan around 2006. During a conversation, I mentioned how cool I thought the design of the enclosure was. He mentioned the difficulties he had in the anodizing process (hence the change to polished aluminium), and that he had some unusable ones laying around. I asked if I could buy a couple and he kindly obliged. The story with the enclosure design goes that after being dissatisfied with a couple of attempts made by outsourced crafts people, he took it upon himself to make it happen. So one night, he sat down with a block of cherry, some carving tools, and a six pack of beer… the rest as they say is history. This unit came with anodizing that was flawed on the outside. I cleaned and polished the outer surface, and left the inside as is. I’m aware that there are copies of this enclosure being sold with circuitry inside them for much less than what I’m asking... It’s my hope that this will go to someone who loves the detail in the original units as much as I do.
