Description: Welcome to my Store, this listing is for a colorful and really one of a kind brand new Half Kitchen Apron recently handmade using a brand new 100%cotton - quilt weight - woven fabric done in a Batik print using a wonderful combination of different shades of Persian Blue Turquoise/Aqua colors, with that beautiful fabric a made the skirt, waistband and long sashes of the classic Half Apron design just to be used as a backing for the vintage hand embroidered piece with that pretty "Blue Bird of Happiness perched on a floral Basket", the original piece was sold as a long Bib Apron stamped/tint probably by Vogart many-many years ago, the original owner never finished, I got it in a very bad and ugly shape, I was able to save the bottom side of the whole front, took away all the awful embroidery and just re-do it all over again using my own combination of colors, had to take down a very damage tiny pocket and after a careful soaking -saving some color in the tinted design now looking like pale orange in the Flowers and pale green in the bottom part of the Basket I lined that vintage piece with brand new 100%cotton white muslin woven fabric and went all around the original scallop border using a brand new 100%cotton double bias tape with red and white small checkered print and use it as a Top for the Blue skirt, this Apron have no Pockets. - skirt is 20 inches long from the waist to the hem without counting the waistband and is 43 inches around the bottom - waistband is 20 inches long and 1.5 inches wide- tiebacks are 44.5 inches long and 1.75 inches wide each This Apron is in excellent brand new condition, I made it as a Showcase piece, for display only, perfect to decor an old Mannequin in your house or in an open Market Place/State Fair/Craft Fair or in a booth in an Antique Market, for lovers of Mid-century Americana Design, for a gift to a very special Lady in love with vintage Linens and the Blue Bird of Happiness and can be use around the Kitchen if you want, comes with a handmade Tag!, everybody will love it!
