Description: 20 seeds of King of the North Bell Pepper, freshly harvested in Sept 2023 for 2024 season. These are open-pollinated and grown without herbicides and pesticides. King of the North is a variety of bell pepper more suitable for shorter growing seasons in the Midwest or northern regions. This is the only variety I've had success with growing full-size bell peppers by end of the season. It has a sweet mild taste, and is thick-walled, good for eating fresh or in any recipes for bell pepper/peppers, large enough to stuff. Plants grow to 2 to 2.5 feet tall, and need a cage or staking as branched will need support when peppers mature. Plant in full to part-sun area, at least 8 hours of sunlight per day. 65 days to harvest green - 75-80 days for red peppers. Germination rate 70% at 75-80 F in 10-14 days, tested Nov 2023 Tips: store seeds in a cool, dry place, like a sealed container in your refrigerator, seeds can stay viable for several years when properly storedStart seeds 6-8 weeks before last frost indoors, plant outside once soil warms and nighttime temperatures stay above 50 degrees F. Shipped via first-class mail. US buyers only.
