Description: In mid-1941 the British War Cabinet gave SOE permission to study the possibility of assassinating the Fuhrer. At this low point in the war for Britain, Churchill had good reason to seek the removal of the heavily guarded Nazi dictator. But, there was a very real worry that the Gestapo would use the assassination as an excuse for wholesale executions of actual or suspected members of resistance movements. Dust jacket is in good condition with bumps to edges and a scuff to rear. Black boards with gilt titles to spine are in excellent condition with light wear. Internal pages are clean and unmarked.
