The face is square, sleeping eyes set beneath finely carved continuous ridged eyebrows, a prominent nose, full mouth lips, and long pendulous earlobes frame his face. The sculpture is presented on a matte-black stand. Beautiful patina, with minor degradation of the surface, with dings, dents, and pitting being a natural part of the stones patina. This piece is from the old private collection of Belgian (came with certificate), acquired before 1940 and passed down through the family lineage.
