Keystone View Tour Of The World Vol 1 & 2 with Book and Maps First Edition 1926

Description: Keystone's World Tour stereoscope card series in the 1926 one hundred card first edition with the accompanying 289 page three quarter leather bound book with a map supplement of 3 maps: The World, New York City, and Washington DC. As with all the Keystone series, the images are stunning. This set contains 89 images found in the 100 card series and then 11 images from the extended series (the series was issued in 100, 200 and 400 card sizes) with some of these cards having a 1905 date. The book encompasses all the series (100, 200 & 400 cards) and includes a chapter penned by Oliver Wendell Holmes. Condition: the case is in very good condition with none of the usual peeling. The stereoscope cards from the 1926 series are in near fine condition in sequence (see images with single cards). The cards from the earlier or extended series (see image with two cards) show some wear but are in good condition. The book has bumps to corners, very light toning to edges, and is otherwise in very good condition with all maps present in near fine condition. Book hinges sound with no cracks.
