These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Kent. Due to large areas covered by the maps, many of the names of the homeowners are quite small. The first map shows the entire Town of Kent which includes the villages of Flanders, Kent Furnace, Macedonia, North Kent, South Kent and Bulls Bridge. Some of the characteristic attractions on this map are Iron Mountain Preserve, Schaghticoke Indian Reservation, North Spectacle Lake, South Spectacle Lake, Hatch Pond, Leonard Pond, Fuller Pond and Kent Falls State Park. The second map shows the Village and or center of Kent which again shows the many homes and businesses. Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps! Some of the surnames which are printed are Stuart, Fuller, Eaton, Britton, Raymond, Lane, Pratt, Roberts, Mills, Smith, Hatch, Stone, Cass, Swift, Jennings and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams. It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
