It contains all of the latest technology in safety. A polycarbonate layer covers the top shell, the back, and the base ring while an inner frame provides all-around strength. This frame allows the helmet to remain compact and incredibly strong. It prevents the helmet from breaking into pieces upon impact shock, keeping the rider safer. The Octo Fit System allows riders to dial in their precise fit and support a head of any shape. Having a perfect fit results in a safer ride and long-lasting comfort. This new version of the Protone is lighter and more aerodynamic than ever. Joining the upper and lower parts of the shell in the new design give it a more aerodynamic shape. Tested in the wind tunnel, the Protone Icon is a daily road helmet that riders can get a ton of efficiency from. It even directs wind in a way that creates ventilation for the rider’s head without the need for an abundance of vents. The Coolmax padding on the inside also helps prevent overheating and is removable and washable.
