Description: Karl Winkel Signed 1944 Colorized Etching Nuremburgh Castle Germany This etching of the Nuremburgh Castle in Nuremburgh Germany is taken from the group of etchings by Karl Winkel. The piece is hand signed by the artist on the lower right and the name of the piece is also written on the lower left. The signings are done in pencil. The folder the etching comes from is titled " So War Munchen" I believe there were about 10 etchings in the folder originally. The piece is in good overall shape but does have 77 years of normal aging to the paper. Overall the piece measures 17 inches tall and 13.5 inches wide. The printed portion measures 10 inches tall and 7.75 inches wide. This listing is for the etching only. The exterior folder seen in pictures 6 and 7 of the listing will not be included.
