Karl Griesbaum Hand-Carved German Drunken Bum Whistler with Lamp Post

Description: Good, used condition, Karl Griesbaum Hand-made, carved-wood, German Drunken Bum Whistler Carving with Lamp Post and the original turn-key. This is a rare antique, from the Black Forest area of Germany, made during the early 20th century. It measures roughly 19" tall by 5 1/4" wide. The piece is in good shape, but the bellows don't work so it doesn't whistle, and also the lamp doesn't light up. That said, the mechanicals still work correctly, and the head is able to turn and lock-in-place without issue. This would still make a wonderful decoration for any home or could be a simple fix for someone handier than me. The wooden back-plate is missing from this carving, leaving the internal mechanisms exposed. Please review all photos, before buying, as the pictured items are exactly what you're bidding on here.
