It is common to find carburetors with this rod broken, and until now there was nothing that could be done to fix this problem, short of machining a new rod or settling for a poor repair. It is common for these rods to be worn through, bent, broken, or stripped from years of use. Our replacement rods have an improved spring design to help minimize vibration and leaking pump nozzles, and come with the later style improved plastic nut to help prevent vibration and make them a snap to adjust properly.
