Description: This JVC DR-MV100B is being listed as Parts Only since it has some issues. Once you get it going--which I will explain later, it plays DVDs, DIVX DVDs, VHS Tapes, Music CDs, JPEG Slide shows, MP3/WMA media and can DUB from DVD to VHS. Don't know why anyone would want to do that. It also records from TV to VHS. I did get it to dub from VHS but I may not have been doing it correctly as it kept giving an error message. I included the few clips I could DUB from an old VHS tape, but I may not have the set-up right. I tried recording from TV to DVD but that did the same. It does play all DVDs with no problem, so I don't get it. The main issue is that you have to keep hitting the Standby/On button repeatedly until it finally stops shutting down--it may take up to twenty times, but once it turns on to DVD or VHS, it stays working and if you use it daily, it keeps working. It actually addresses this on page 51 of the manual. I bought one of these combos years ago and had the same problem. I bought this one a year ago so when it did that, I knew to keep trying. You have to have patience or know how to fix that. I bought a device on eBay that you run from the DVD/VHS player to your PC or laptop for $30 and was able to capture all my old VHS tapes and home movie DVDs easily! I know you have to pay at least $50 a tape to have that done. So for that, the DR-MV100B performed without any problem--except the turning on part. Comes with Remote, Manual, plug in cord.
