Julie has performed in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Oklahoma and most recently opened for Congressman Aaron Schock's Summer Reading Program event featuring special guest former First Lady Laura Bush. Driven by a desire to create music that children and their parents can enjoy together, Julie K is nationally recognized for her work. A Sunny Day is the recipient of a 2010 Parents Choice Award, Dr. Toy Best Vacation Product Award, Creative Child Award, Dove Family Approved Seal from the Dove Foundation, and a Rising Star recognition from NAPPA (National Parenting Publication Awards).
