Description: 20 acre placer mining claim on the border of Julian, California. There is some good looking bedrock with quartz that might contain some very nice gold. There is loose schist rock on this claim which contains micro gold. I have used a dry washer to process the loose schist as well as collected quartz rocks from veins to crush at home. There are tons more of schist to process for micro gold. You can use a dry washer(s) or recirculating sluice(s), gold cube, trommel. You can also take the rocks home to crush there. There is water in the ravine in the winter if it rains good. You have to park about 1/8 mile away from the claim as the claim borders a private road. You can drop off your equipment and go park up at the cul de sac and walk or bike back down to the claim. I used a dolly to bring rocks up to the road and then go get my van and drive back down to pick them up. It's a little bit of a hassle but the claim is incredible so it's worth it. If you want to sample first for $40 a day you can keep all the gold you find. Please contact me if you have any questions.
