Minor bumping to corners. Minor rolling to fabric at head and tail of spine. Volume three, “Return of the King,” has a small ding to upper edge of rear board. Shelf wear. Internally clean and unmarked. Original fold out maps still attached prior to last free end paper in each volume. Original dark gray jackets show slight edge-wear, otherwise complete and undamaged; now in protective sleeves. “Fellowship of the Ring,” is price clipped; “The Two Towers” and “Return of the King” have unclipped prices of £1.95 and £2.25 respectively. Now housed in a beautiful, custom made, one of a kind, deep maroon slipcase with embossed titles and J.R.R. Tolkien logo to sides. Near fine condition. Published in England by Allen and Unwin, 1971.
