Funnily, I've fallen in love lately with Gildan Heavies for a simple reason: once they're completely broken in, they cease to be "heavy" and yet they remain completely sturdy. They feel very soft, they "hang" very nicely, and nothing flares or creases or otherwise looks unsightly (see pics). And this is important because when it comes to a band like Joy Division, you simply can't rock some starchy, boxy piece of crap. It's got to be sleek, form-fitting to the bod, and entirely sexy. I actually found this one overseas, and what I like about it aside from the fit and feel is that we just get the iconic logo without the band name on the front--it's perfect: anyone worth talking to at the dive bar will recognize it automatically ("I like your shirt"). If nothing else, it's a great conversation starter. I don't think I've ever met a Joy Division fan I didn't like, which is why I always have a number of these tees on hand, but this is my last Unknown Pleasures one at the moment. Doubtless I'll move it and have to find another, but that's the game. It's getting faster, moving faster now, its' getting out of hand/On the tenth floor, down the back stairs, it's a no mans land...
